It can be postcards, samples, coupons...anything you would like to give as an advertisement, eye catcher or sneak peek to your goods!
(We would prefer not to have business cards sent in as they are already there to see you!)

HHB is Over...

HHB was held yesterday and I wanted to thank all of the vendors that came to the show. We had a fantastic location, BEAUTIFUL weather, and traffic all day.

This is my little Oscars thank you for the production of HHB 2008 I wanted to thank Karrie of Fiberologie for allowing us to have the show and open up on her day off for us ( and for her staff for coming in too), Mike of Nova for allowing us the use of his space, Limeys for being fantastic to deal with, before, during and after the show. Mark, Mike, Jessi and Jodi really helped us out and everyone appreciated the discount. Kittycrossbones for making our fanastic color flyers. All of the places we had that published about the show Creative Loafing, Skirt, St. Pete Times, and TBT. My folks and sister for coming and helping us during the day. Doug ( Stacey's husband) who helped multiple people unload, set-up and strip down and was as super good sport. Dan (my husband) for being there all day and watching the booth while I was chatting away, I know it was his IDEAL Sunday. He also helped Doug with setting up and stripping down vendors spaces. Lastly Stacey my partner in crime for this event. I would have never been able to do this without her. She is uber organized and always thought of things I didn't. I know planning this was not easy for her with her family, work and etsy life but we did it. Pluse she made me an AWESOME apron.. I am so glad we decided to take a chance. We wanted to do a show we were proud of, Mission Accomplished.

Kreepy Kids is the sister store to Fallen Fey and Snappy Knees. In this etsy store you will find fantastic prints, shirts and other items that will embody famous people. there is an entire Wizard of Oz Collection or how about the 80's band people.

The versatility with being able to choose what Kreepy Kid goes on what item is great!

Here are some of the ones I want for my house. I guess with my computer being broken the last thing I need is a screen cleaner but I could use it as a pin cushion..

Vendor Feature: Wonderland Creations

Wonderland Creations makes the coolest hats. I was so excited when they decided to be a part of HHB. One of the best things is that they will me making custom hats right on the spot at the show!

All of Wonderland Creations Hats are made from anti-pill or polar fleece with embroidered details.

With cute hats like these what kid ( or adult) wouldn't want to wear them when it gets cool in Florida.

When I worked in Europe I wore a hat everyday and when I was back in April I did. I wish I was wearing one today cause it is 69 degrees at work so maybe I will have to buy one to add to my collection.

Since I have a HUGE noggin it is nice to see that they can adjust the hat size if you have a smaller or in my case larger head than 24 inches.

I am so looking forward to meeting Wonderland Creations at HHB next Sunday.

Some people's happy place is the beach or a quiet spot in their garden. I'd like to propose that if you quilt, sew, craft, love fanciful prints, or even just appreciate the feel of crisp cotton that you stop by Fiberologie in St. Pete... it could be your new Happy Place!

I happened on Fiberologie completely by accident while doing a google search for designer fabric. The Fiberologie website is super cute, but I wasn't prepared for the wonder of this shop. I stepped onto the quaint little front porch one morning and Karrie, the owner of Fiberologie, was having a cup of coffee. She opened the door to the 1920s house and amidst the beautiful white wood work, built in shelves, and brick fireplace was bolt after bolt of amazing fabric. Textiles from lots of top designers like Amy Butler and Heather Bailey, as well as really unique finds like some imported Japanese prints.

Not only will you find the newest designer fabrics in the industry, Karrie also supports local crafters by featuring some handmade pieces in her store as well as some of her own handiwork.

If you're not already a fabric addict, Karrie will help you along with the many classes she hosts. In addition to classes, you can stop by for a quick make-n-take project, or donate your time to a charitable cause by participating in one of Fiberologie's charity days. I recently spent a morning at Fiberologie making "pink" beanies for the Susan G Komen foundation. I couldn't think of a better way to spend a leisurely morning than sewing away, in great company, for a good cause.

I'm beyond excited that Fiberologie is our host for Handmade Holiday Bazaar! Come to the bazaar to shop the vendors and discover Fiberologie... it's yet another reason to love St. Pete!

These are called traveling nichos and can be put anywhere where you need protection or inspiration. The would be perfect for your car, studio, keychain, under your pillow or virtually anywhere. Who doesn't need a bit of inspiration sometimes?

I really like these necklaces below. The are made from clay tags and have little faces with either strong, dream or love on them.

Unique Concepts is run by Robert Freeman. He draws all original art and then he makes prints of his illustrations and sells a variety of them in his etsy shop. I love being able to get affordable art.

What grabbed me when I first looked at his site were his Holiday Cards. He can take any of his print images and turn them int o a set of cards. The pricing for the cards is below which is way cheaper for an "original" card than what you would find at Hallmark or Target.

I met Christine of The Kacz Collection at my first ever show. Her booth was right next to mine and I fell in love with a brown and turquoise purse with a Paris theme and a scooter purse. We did a couple of shows together last year and I am so happy she is going to be a part of HHB.

In checking out Real Raspberries for this piece I saw that she has two shops. She has a shop on etsy(the linked one above) and another shop.

Michele sells a variety of all natural, organic, bath salts and scrubs, scented flower bouquets and natural soaps.

I know from my own concoctions that lavender is a natural stress reducer and is good to help you sleep. This soap below would be great for nighttime baths.

What a wonderful scent, Cranberry Pomegranate soap to get you ready for the holidays.

I know that I love to take baths and bat salts are so relaxing. These Creme Brulee salts were made in honor Michele's sons favorite desert.

The Fantabulous KittyCrossBones

Kittycrossbones us run by AmyLynn and in my book she is a superstar!!! I have been shopping at her store since May of 2007. She is s sponsor for HHB because she is responsible for printing up all of our fabulous postcards about HHB to give out all over town. She also completed this in a pretty short amount of time.

I am sure she is the person I have purchased from the most on etsy.

For me personally she has made my business cards ( did a brand new layout and all) mirrors,matchbook pads, buttons 1 and 1.25 inchers, and sitckers for my shop.
Her quality of product scannot be surpassed and I am always telling people how great she is. She is a delight to work with and have the highest standards of service. All of her items are full-color vibrant products that can compete and win with the big box stores.
These are her 2.25 inch custom mirrors. I love the ones she made for me with my logo.
I ordered 500 of these stickers and I put them on my packages and seal my items in tissue paper with them

These are the 1.25 inch buttons and I think I ordered 500 the last time.

The more you order the bigger discount you get. I have found out more is better than less because if you do a lot of shows a sticker is a pretty cheap way to promote yourself...

These little matchbook pads were my most recent purchase and I love them!

I first met Perpetual Pickles at another craft show I was in last year in St. Pete. I fell in love with her record bags.

These bags are a great way to reduce, reuse and recycle old items and repurpose them into something new and fabulous.

This is going to be a meaty piece of bloggy pie. My crafty ladies of Sew It's For You and Elle Belle have organized "Handmade Holiday Bazaar" on November 9th, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. at Fiberologie in St. Pete, Florida. I am hoping to cart my busy ass up to their shindiggy provided I can battle my way out of my house which is filled with thread, vintage clothing, half-made handbags, half-made D-I-Y kits, etc-crafty-f'in-cetera. You may recognize this piece below from out postcard we sent all of the vendors. It is made with oxidized silver and is called "Mama Bird".

I love this fun little necklace. I am going to have to add it to my wishlist of things I want from the show. It has 3 silver charms on it, a peace symbol, a heart and a leaf. Simplicity at it's best.

I was trying to figure out what to pick for my last item and I had to pick this because it is beautiful but the name made me chuckle a bit "Turtle with a flower on her bum." My husband is from England and his entire family still lives there and I have picked up saying bum so hence the smile.

I received one of these tags with my order and the colors are super vibrant and the paper stock is really thick.

I'm so excited about having the Flying Zoo at the Handmade Holiday Bazaar! I'm particularly fond of wood toys. There's something about the simple aesthetic appeal that owning a hand crafted wood toy can bring. All those flashing buzzing singing plastic toys just entertain/distract children... wood toys are engaging, they're really playing, using their imagination.

Monika started making these wonderful mobiles more than 15 years ago.

One of my favorite things is the Custom Wedding Platter. This is a fantastic gift for the person that has everything.

I saw this mug and thought it was so cute. I am not often and "early bird" but when I am I am upset that I can't get more done, like paying bills at the mall or stores being closed.

I do not have any pets but my friends that do often search for their leashes, like I search for my keys.

Next up on the list of talented vendors you’ll find at the Handmade Holiday Bazaar is Athena’s Armoury. I met Janine of Athena’s Armoury at an event we both did about a year ago and have been drooling over her chain maille pieces since (no silly, not literally!). One of the things I like most about chain maille is that there’s so much skill involved in creating a piece. Janine coils, cuts, and weaves each of her pieces by hand... and does an amazing job at it! Another reason chain maille pieces have made it into my jewelry box is that they’re really intricate in design, but still have a clean simple styling. I’ll definitely be picking up some finger armour of my own at the bazaar! Oh, and for all of you gamers who read this blog (okay so maybe you guys at least know a gamer :)) how can you even call yourself a level 50 Wizard… errr whatever… without an Athena’s Armoury dice bag?!

Not only does Athena’s Armoury have a spot in the bazaar, Janine is also going to be demonstrating how to coil and cut aluminum to make the rings used to create chain maille. She’ll be demonstrating basic weaving techniques too. Keep an eye on the blog for more info on the demos and make-n-takes scheduled throughout the day!

We are all getting super excited about the upcoming Handmade Holiday Bazaar. One of the newest vendors we have added is APHIDESIGNS. Jessica is the owner of APHIDESIGNS and resides in Tallahassee.

I love all of the bold colors she uses. Jessica repurposes and upcycles old items to create new items. This is one step to being green that is often overlooked but is a great way to start being green without having to change anything you are doing.

The items above are one of a kind. It is refreshing to see unique items that no one else will have when you where them.

I recently got bangs and always need cute barrettes to hold back my hair. I have seen flowers barrettes like these for $30-$40 in specialty stores and here they are only $6.00- $10.00. There is a sale going on now too, buy any two barrettes or pinbacks get one FREE!

Julie of Sew It's For You is one of the master minds behind the Handmade Holiday Bazaar and one heck of a crafter! She does some really awesome hand embroidery that you can check out at sewitsforyou.etsy.com. So if I have to narrow it down to my few favorites it'd have to be first and foremost the piece she made for my little one, the dish running away with the spoon on a little hand towel for Elle's play kitchen.

One of my favorite things about Julie's work is that she's been able to incorporate her penchant for going green. She has a real passion for doing her part and influencing others to do the same in contributing to the betterment of our environment. Truth in point, her Eat Your Veggies Shopping Bag. Forget those boring drab green Publix shopping bags, and go with eco friendly style in this little number.

Staceymof Elle Belle makes adorable and functional items for both baby and mom (dad's too). She is also my partner in crime in the creation of Handmade Holiday Bazaar and New Skool Krafts.

This personalized sensory snuggly has a variety of patterns, fabrics and textures to stimulate developing minds. These snugglys' are soft and have hidden treasures like crinkle fabric and scents to help babies sensory learning.

The slings are made to help the distribute the baby's weight across your shoulder and back more evenly, which will lead to less tired mommies and daddies. These slings have form, function and fashion. Stacey has many designs to choose from for your sling, including the mom tattoo one shown above.

I think one of my favorite items are the count and spell bean bags. I was a teacher for 7 years and I truly value the importance of learning, especially in a fun, and unique way. These bean bags are perfect for aiding in the development of your childs gross motor skills, color, number and alphabet recognition, spelling, math, the possibilites are truly endless. I think the color palatte is fantastic for boys or girls and these can grow with your child. They are eco-friendly and safe for all ages.

Handmade Holiday Bazaar

Stacey of Elle Belle, Julie of Sew It's For You, and Karrie of Fiberologie have partnered to create, promote, and host a venue for funky, crafty, non-traditional art sorts of things, the Handmade Holiday Bazaar!

Event Details:

Sunday Nov. 9th from 10am – 6pm

Karrie is hosting the event at Fiberologie, a super cute contemporary fabric shop in a 1920s house off 4th St. N. in St. Pete next to Limey's. (411 15th Ave. N)

Admission is free

35 local artisans will be selling their wares and demos/workshops are planned throughout the day.

We’re excited about giving St. Pete a handmade alternative to mass manufacturing and old school craft shows!
